Violumas Releases New 4X4 COB Modules for High Intensity UVB LED and UVC LED Applications

Violumas is proud to announce the addition of new VC4X4 COB Module configurations to its extensive, high power UV LED product lineup. The M4X4L9 module sets are available in UVB and UVC wavelengths (265 nm, 275 nm, 295 nm, 310 nm) and are comprised of the Violumas VC4X4 UV LED COB and a fan-cooled heatsink for a complete, validated product ready for testing and integration.

Utilizing the patented 3-PAD LED Flip Chip and Super Pillar MCPCB, the VC4X4 COB array is structured with a high density 16-chip LED array under a single 90° fused silica lens, allowing for focused, high intensity illumination. It is the highest power UVB/UVC LED on the market with optical outputs up to 1600 mW and intensities up to 299 mW/cm2 at 10 mm distance.

The use of integrated thermal structures in the LED and MCPCB achieves highly
efficient heat dissipation with an extremely low thermal resistance of 0.1 °C/W. This
allows for sufficient cooling with a specially designed fan-cooled heatsink instead of a
liquid cooled solution. A dimmable LED driver kit and fan power supply can be provided
for a fully equipped evaluation kit. With the addition of VC4X4 COB as a standard
product, Violumas aims to provide a ready-made solution to high dosage applications
such as disinfection, spectroscopy, and phototherapy.
