Kuzco Lighting Acquires Insight Lighting
Kuzco broadens its offerings with its second architectural lighting acquisition in 12 months
Kuzco Lighting has announced the acquisition of Insight Lighting, a New Mexico-based manufacturer specializing in high-performance indoor and outdoor architectural lighting. This follows Kuzco’s 2024 acquisition of Auroralight, a California company known for its durable, marine-grade landscape lighting.
Both acquisitions reflect Kuzco’s strategic focus on expanding its architectural lighting portfolio. Merrimack Group, which advised Auroralight on its acquisition by Kuzco, also served as the M&A advisor to Insight Lighting in this transaction. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The acquisition further solidifies Kuzco’s role as a major player in both residential and architectural lighting. By combining Kuzco’s contemporary LED designs with Insight’s custom optic and color-changing platforms, the partnership can potentially cross-pollenate aesthetic and performance best practices.
Kuzco’s acquisition of Insight Lighting reflects a broader strategy to diversify its portfolio and invest in U.S. manufacturing. This move builds on Kuzco’s history of strategic growth, including its previous acquisition of Auroralight, and positions the brand for continued growth in the competitive lighting market.
